What is SCRIP? With the SCRIP program, you pay for gift cards to grocery stores, retail
shops, gas stations, restaurants and other businesses you already go to every day, but now you
can help your child’s school earn money at the same time.
How does SCRIP work? Buy a gift card and the school earns a percentage of the card’s
value. The amount is determined by the retailer which could be anywhere from 1.5% - 20%.
This is in addition to, not deducted from, the amount of your card. You will always receive the
full value of your purchase.
I wasn’t able to place an order. Am I out of luck? Not at all! This program will be
available all year long. During the month of September order forms will be sent home in your
child’s backpack. After September, in an effort to go-green, forms will be available on the PTO
link on the Linn Grove website. Look for deadline dates in your weekly announcement emails.
Order forms must be returned to the Linn Grove office by noon on the deadline date. Orders
not received by noon will have to wait until the next order is placed. (If you don’t get an
order form, please contact one of the SCRIP Coordinators). All efforts to fulfill the order
will be made by the following Friday.
Do local businesses participate? We agree that local businesses deserve our support.
Current local business supporters are Hy-Vee, Sonic, Marcos Pizza, Gold Headquarters, Culvers
Garden Center and Beef O’ Brady’s. The PTO is looking to add other local business as well.
Please keep checking the list for new local businesses. You can also go to WWW.GLSCRIP.COM
for a nationwide list.
When are the deadline dates? Please see the schedule below.
